Judge Patronella has served as Justice of the Peace, Precinct One, Place Two since 1989 when he was nominated by Commissioner Lee and appointed by Harris County Commissioner’s Court by a unanimous vote. He was elected in 1990 and re-elected since then to serve the people of Precinct One, which includes portions of the city of Houston, as well as West University Place, Southside Place, and Bellaire.

In addition to hearing civil cases, small claims, evictions, misdemeanor criminal cases, animal cruelty matters, and traffic cases as a full-time judge, he has been an instructor for the Texas Court Training Center for over two decades. Judge Patronella has previously served as Chairman of the Justice Courts section of the State Bar of Texas and through the years has consistently received high percentages of outstanding ratings by members of the Houston Bar Association in HBA polls.
